First Day of School

It seems like everyone is going back to school! Jaxon started preschool this last week. He actually went for a few months last school year but this is his first "first day of schoool" experience. Everyone has asked how he's doing and it's kind of funny. The question almost seems odd to me. He LOVES school. He gets to go outside of the house for 2 hours, 3 days a week and see his friends and play with his teachers. Yes, I understand it's school and he's learning, but at preschool age it's a lot of fun for him. Here's some fun photos from his first day.

How cute is he with his little backpack?

They had this adorable little photo booth for kids on their first day. I tried to get him to pose so I could read the sign.

Of course the sign turned into a bird. What can I do. I tried.

Jaxon posed with his teacher. She's so sweet, it's her first year teaching and she reminds me of gum drops and rainbows and puppy dog tails. Everything that a preschool teacher should be.

This is a tradition I picked up from a fellow mom. Cake after your first day of school. If you had a bad first day at school, bummer, have some cake to feel better. Had a great first day? About to get better with cake!! It's something fun and simple that I hope to continue all through his school years and also when Carson starts school.

Did everyone else out there have a great first day of school?

2 Year Anniversary

May 15th is our anniversary. For out two year anniversary we went to the Grand Canyon. It really couldn't have been greater. Here are some of the pictures from this past weekend. This was our cabin and the view from our window We learned how to lasso and saw tadpoles Relaxed and enjoyed the view I do have some travel tips for you. If a place if called "Out of this World", you really should stop and try their food. Eat a burger, take a picture, order a cake (try to be better than me and snap a picture before you scarf it down), also, order a pizza to take back to your room. It'll be worth it. Trust me.

Summer

I had a great summer. I know I was gone for a while but I have LOTS of fun stuff to share with you guys. I redesigned the blog (awesome right?), got grass in the backyard (you can see a little pic of it at the top of the blog plus some pics in here), we grilled, and I did a super fun side job. Here are some pictures of us having fun. How tasty does this look? Can you guess what I'm doing for my side job? It's hard to see I know. My hubby took the picture with one of our cell phones. BUT I'm actually doing team pictures for a school. How exciting is that? So Brian started back in Boy Scouts. Now he was an eagle scout and it turns out he was the very first eagle scout from his troop. How many girls out there dreamed of a man in uniform? Well let this be a lesson to you. BE SPECIFIC when you dream and or pray for these things; otherwise, you will get a blurry picture of a dork. But after this update I had better take a break. It looks like someone i

Deepest, Darkest Secret

Now everyone has they're secrets. Maybe you pick your nose. Whatever. I won't judge. Maybe you eat ice cream out of the container. Still, no judging here. Drink milk out the jug and then put it back?... ok a little judging. Everyone has they're secrets. Well I have a secret that nobody knows. I put curlers in my hair. Foam, bright colored, old lady curlers. Now, no one has seen this sight. I even made sure that the hubby was gone. But, I did snap one, face obscured, wet haired picture. Don't judge. I didn't judge you. I'm going to rant about them now because after all, talking is therapeutic. After having above pictured rollers on my hair for an hour my hair was no closer to being dry as when I got out of the shower. I tried to blow dry them but you can only hold a hair dryer to your scalp for so long before it feels like it just might catch on fire. Also, I'm pretty sure I don't know how to put them in correctly. This was
