Summer Update

Summer is always SO busy. Why is that? I remember when I used to be in school and summer break was the best. No school, vacations, seeing friends.

Now it's vacations, weddings, trying to see friends and schedule playdates, checkups for Jaxon, and still work? What is that about?

Here is a little catch up from our summer plus some fun new news.

We went to a wedding of an old high school friend of ours. It was such a cute wedding in an old barn that was beautifully decorated. Plus how can you not love any wedding where you get to keep adorable chalkboard mason jars?

The routine checkups for Jaxon. That boy of mine is getting SO big. When did this happen?

We took some wagon rides around the neighborhood. Mostly so we can go play at the splash-pad.

4th of July was a great weekend for all the Tussing's. Brian's dad and mom rented a condo in Mission Beach for the family to go stay at. It makes me love Brian that much more when I see how great him and Jaxon are together.

Lastly, for the big news of the summer so far!

That's right. That's a box of my work belongings. 4 years working at a company, sitting at one desk, with a chair with an armrest missing a chunk on the left side. All of that time is put into one file box. Most of you know that I work two jobs for the same company. One was at a desk for 3 days a week and the other is mostly at home. You also probably know Brian has been at his job for just over 5 years and working at home for about 4.

Well today at 8:40am Brian left the house and started his new job! It's very exciting for us. I will now stay home with adorable Jaxon while keeping my "remote" job. So if any of you have been trying to see us but our schedule is just to hectic? Not anymore! We are very excited to start this new chapter of our lives!!

2 Year Anniversary

May 15th is our anniversary. For out two year anniversary we went to the Grand Canyon. It really couldn't have been greater. Here are some of the pictures from this past weekend. This was our cabin and the view from our window We learned how to lasso and saw tadpoles Relaxed and enjoyed the view I do have some travel tips for you. If a place if called "Out of this World", you really should stop and try their food. Eat a burger, take a picture, order a cake (try to be better than me and snap a picture before you scarf it down), also, order a pizza to take back to your room. It'll be worth it. Trust me.

Summer

I had a great summer. I know I was gone for a while but I have LOTS of fun stuff to share with you guys. I redesigned the blog (awesome right?), got grass in the backyard (you can see a little pic of it at the top of the blog plus some pics in here), we grilled, and I did a super fun side job. Here are some pictures of us having fun. How tasty does this look? Can you guess what I'm doing for my side job? It's hard to see I know. My hubby took the picture with one of our cell phones. BUT I'm actually doing team pictures for a school. How exciting is that? So Brian started back in Boy Scouts. Now he was an eagle scout and it turns out he was the very first eagle scout from his troop. How many girls out there dreamed of a man in uniform? Well let this be a lesson to you. BE SPECIFIC when you dream and or pray for these things; otherwise, you will get a blurry picture of a dork. But after this update I had better take a break. It looks like someone i...

Exciting News

So during my last post I mentioned that I have some exciting news to share. I currently work as an intern at an unnamed electric company. Now, this is a great job! I love it, I love my boss; however, it's not a place I see myself staying and being there in 5 years. I started poking around looking at more permanent jobs around 2 months ago. About a month ago I starting talking to a company that my mother-in-law works for. Well my last day at the unnamed electric company is on Friday! This is very exciting. But there is lots of cloak and dagger going on here. It is time for the big reveal. I just got the job as staff support at Crisis Pregnancy Center . It's a wonderful place. For those of you that don't know about it, please go to website and read about it. It's a Christian based organization that is pro-life and does phenomenal things for women, men too! This is a wonderful direction that God is taking my family. Please keep our family ...
