Now everyone has they're secrets.
Maybe you pick your nose. Whatever. I won't judge.
Maybe you eat ice cream out of the container. Still, no judging here.
Drink milk out the jug and then put it back?... ok a little judging.
Everyone has they're secrets. Well I have a secret that nobody knows.
I put curlers in my hair. Foam, bright colored, old lady curlers. Now, no one has seen this sight. I even made sure that the hubby was gone. But, I did snap one, face obscured, wet haired picture.
Don't judge. I didn't judge you.
I'm going to rant about them now because after all, talking is therapeutic. After having above pictured rollers on my hair for an hour my hair was no closer to being dry as when I got out of the shower. I tried to blow dry them but you can only hold a hair dryer to your scalp for so long before it feels like it just might catch on fire. Also, I'm pretty sure I don't know how to put them in correctly. This was the first time I used them so my technique has something to be desired.
So my theory is that if I had left them on long enough for my hair to try, actually left the bathroom and walked around the house (I'm petrified someone might see me in them), my hair would be lovely and wavy curls, instead I got unruly waves. I guess now that it's on here I can at least walk in the living room with them. I still say that it will snow in Gilbert before I sleep in them or step outside in them. They are a styling tool never to leave the confounds of my house and they should not be worn long enough for the hubby to wonder if I lost my sanity.
I realize that I've been slow on posting but I've had a major life change. I can't tell on here just yet because not everyone in my family knows and I think they'd be a tinsy bit upset if I divulged this secret here before they knew. So, if I did not blind you with my rollers then next post will have some good news!

TTFN
I totally wore those all the time when I was younger. I DID sleep in them though and that was the only way I could get them to dry completely. HOWEVER, if you let you hair dry partially aside from the smaller piece like front layers or bangs and then put them in, they tend to dry faster and curl better then having them in since it is soaking wet. Also, spritzing a little hair spray into the hair before rolling them up helps too. And yes I'm sure I'll be judged for this as well;) I wish I still had mine some days, they're the only thing that keeps a curl in my hair when it's short.
ReplyDeleteP.S. Can't wait for the good news...whatever it may be;)
Ok, I'm not the only one then! Those are some awesome tips :) thanks! I bought them at Ross for like 6 dollars or something.
ReplyDeleteI'm learning I should have prefaced the news, I'm not pregnant. Just exciting news in our life :)
